Case 1.
A case of a girl child aged 4 years suffering with eczema in the folds of her arms , behind knees, on the cheeks and in the folds of the neck. It was treated with hydrocortisone ointments and as a result of suppression of the eczema the skin became very thin. Her mom informed that the child scratches so hard that she takes out blood and that she becomes restless due to itching, specially during night. She cries while she is itching and scratching and if we ask her to stop she becomes irritated. Her appetite has diminished and she is suffering with Constipation as well. During case taking it came to notice that the Constipation started when the child was sent to India in the care of the grandparents as the parents couldn’t find time to stay at home as both the parents were working. She used to cry remembering her parents. This was very important information which was used while selecting the appropriate remedy for the child. The separation anxiety had a tremendous effect on the psyche of the child and an analysis of the case based on this uncompensated state brought forth the remedy. On administration of the remedy the child was cleared off of the eczema and her Constipation became better and appetite also returned.
Case 2.
A lean and thin child six years was brought to the clinic suffering from respiratory issues. The parents told that when he was 7 weeks old he suffered from a viral infection and was hospitalized and was treated there. Now he suffers with fever, runny nose, wheezing and whistling from his chest, every year and we have to employ a course of steroids otherwise his chest remains suffocated. Every time we have to hospitalize him. For the last two years it has been observed that December, January and February are the worst months. His chest becomes congested making his breathing hard. During pregnancy the mother of the child used to suffer with dry cough. During case taking it was also revealed that tuberculosis and whooping cough was running very strongly in the family on the father’s side. The child was wheezing very hard when he was brought to the clinic. The parents told that sometimes when the wheezing is too much he vomits and then feels little bit relaxed. Based on the information provided above the appropriate remedy was selected and the child did well and no respiratory issues happened ever since.
Case 3.
This was the case of an autistic child 7 years old. The child could not sit or stand still, was roaming around restlessly. No eye contact. Very much fond of playing games on Mobil phone. Disorderly, disorganized, touching everything here and there. Walking on his toes. During case taking it was reported that all his mile stones were delayed. Though he cut his teeth late and started walking late yet his speech was wanting. His appetite is very little. His temperament is very furious. If we ask him not to play video games he becomes so aggressive that he starts hitting his head and can hit any body around him. He does not play outside, all he needs is the video games. He is in special needs class and it’s very hard to control him. After listening to the story in detail the homeopathic remedy was selected which brought about positive changes in the child on all the levels. He started speaking few words and with continued remedies he started speaking full sentences. His behaviour got milder and the restless activity came to normal.
Case 4.
